Direct and explicit instruction may be associated with ‘old school teaching,’ but what it really means is to: (1) provide clear, concise, and structured teaching, and (2) break down complex concepts into smaller, manageable steps.  This photo shows grade 9 math students at GHS learning through this teaching method.
